From The Editors: Since 1992, the editorial board of The Arab Studies Journal has promised to present a reliable and critical alternative publication that is not afraid to take "the road less traveled." The Journal has also promised to deliver sound scholarship on the Arab world at a time when what exists in this regard is wanting.
