From The Editors: With this issue, the Arab Studies Journal enters its tenth year of publication. The consistent support of its editorial review board and a committed volunteer staff enables ASJ to provide a forum for fresh approaches to the study of the Middle East and North Africa. In this issue, readers will note an expanded book review section, the work of graduate students based at New York University now complementing the Journal's editorial team's home base at Georgetown University.
